Quilt updates

So I am embarrassed at how lax I have been at posting and updating this blog. I have incredible people looking at this for ideas, etc. and I promise I will be more diligent at updating this. Watch for new updates shortly.

Please know that the intent of this blog isn't to show off the quilting, although it is to show you different pattern styles that have been used. The intent I've had with this blog is to give beginners and mid level quilters new ideas of what others have done, what colors they've put together, and just basic insights on putting together fabrics for quilts.

Your comments and insights help others, and that is our intent...to help others love this hobby and creating heirlooms. Thanks for the things I've been taught by you!!!

Annie's School Project

Dear friends,

Our sweet granddaughter, Annie, is doing a school project for her first grade class. They are trying to get a postcard from as many states and places around the world as they can. They have learned to read, and are making a "map" with postcards on it. I told her I'd write some of my good friends who live outside of Utah and Idaho and see if they would simply pick up a post card and mail it to the following address. Also, the child who gets the most "responses" gets a HUGE prize. I told her we would be glad to help her. She is ecstatic!!

Would you please choose a postcard (I found mine at a Flying J store) and simply write on the message part... Annie, I am a friend of your grandma Christensen's. I live in.....

Mail it to: Annie Christensen
c/o Paramount Elementary
ATTN: Mrs. Alb
P.O. Box 423
Salem, UT 84653-0423
USA

Thanks so much!!! P.S. She is dressed in light blue on the family picture, and you can see her in the picture below on "Annie's quilt", helping with her quilt project.

Rochelle's Bunco Quilts

Rochelle is in a Bunco group out in Cleveland and it's her turn to host the evening which includes giving out the prizes. She opted to make 4 quilts for some of the prizes since that is one of her talents. I think they turned out really well!
