Kyle & Christy's Quilt

A fun thing I've started doing is making quilts for my kids from bed sheets. They've turned out really fun and are so easy to do. Here is the first one that we did for Kyle & Christy. They simply buy two sets of sheets, give me the flats and they keep the fitted and pillowcases. This way, it's cheaper than fabrics and gives them two sets of sheets to trade off with. It's pretty "European" as in those countries they only use a bottom sheet and a 'sleeved' set of sheets with the blanket inside, thus cutting down on the laundering of the blankets. Pretty cool, huh?
